Sneaky Creepers

The Crookback Creepers now have 50% of their team painted thanks to the two new additions. I am well aware that these Gutter Runners lack a lot of colour in comparison to their team mates. Yet I think it is an appropriate choice to have specialists like them look a bit different. You can still see (at least I think so) which team they belong to. ...

Blitz-blitz!

Had a couple of Blood Bowl matches during the last days and had a lot of fun again. Therefore I fancy with lots of different choices regarding my next team. Yet the Crookback Creepers (a Skaven team) are still my main priority. Three new players were finished today, check them out here. ...

Crookback Creepers

I am still enjoying raiding the Blood Bowl fields with my Dwarves yet there has to come a second team at some point. At first I tried an Orc team but with no lasting success. I noticed a bit to late that I actually would prefer a team that plays really different from my Dwarf team. Of course the Orcs are not the same but there are to many similarities. Thus I came up with something new, something sneaky and something real fast. Entering the Crookback Creepers! As a regular visitor you might have noticed that another menu point BLOOD BOWL was added here on the blog where we would like to present ...

Border Princes Skirmish

If you’ve followed the last couple of posts regarding Warhammer you might have noticed that some of the Aleatores are diving into the world of Warhammer skirmish recently. It’s a homebrewed setting mostly consisting of Mordheim, Regiments of Renown, Heralds of Ruin and Kill Team rules. Our member Elrond is responsible for this very entertaining mix which we playtested now for the first time. As this playtest resulted in quite a few changes to our rule setting I am not going to explain the rules we used in detail (if you have any questions feel free to ask anyway). So what we have here now is more likely a visual teaser for the future matches to come. The ...

Dogs of War

I am still working on my new Warhammer Dwarves and recently came up with the first Dog of War. As you can read in the Regiments of Renown you have three specialists, i.e. the Dogs of War. I went for the “The Regimental Musician” first as this will make the stubborn Dwarves even more unrelenting (You must re-roll failed Rout tests if the bearer is alive). Fortunately another Aleator started with his RoR-band thus giving me a future opponent. Elrond de Gravenesse went for the Skaven of Clan Mors. A brilliant choice I might add as they are a Clan with a long record of battles against the Dwarves. My Dwarf Warriors are eager now to ...

Quirrik – Clan Skryre Warlock

That’s quite an atypical update today as I usually work on my more or less strict schedule for my WHQ project log: – Warhammer Quest box (finished) – Lair of the Orc Lord (almost finished) – Catacombs of Terror (next big thing) – The rest with WD expansions and own ideas. After reading much about the Skaven during the last couple of days I guess the Rat Golem was just not enough. I was in the mood to paint some more for the Domain of the Horned Rat expansion. Thus I searched for a fitting miniature for the Skryre Warlock Quirrik. The Island of Blood Warlock was just what I was looking for. ...

The Rat Golem

When I stumbled upon the WHQ expansion “Domain of the Horned Rat” from the english White Dwarf #195 I knew that I had to include it in my WHQ project log. There’s a unique new dungeon room, the Warlock Quirrik, the Assassin Shreek Deathstrike and lots of neat Skaven stuff. Especially the Rat Golem, Quirrik’s creation, caught my attention. The Rat Golem is a prototype of a new Skaven creature. It is a mechanically modified Rat Ogre, with chunks of warpstone embedded in parts of its body to provide it with a resistance to magic and the ability to heal itself. However, it is even more stupid than normal Rat Ogres, and frequently needs repairing. It needs ...
